The Mighty Mouse (or lack thereof)

Hello, I’m a Mac.
No, seriously.  I love Mac.  I love Apple.  I’ve had some issues with their retail stores, but it looks like the one closest to me is under new management or something and it’s like being in a different store, so I think those issues are fading fairly quickly.
So, when I tell you [...]

Chuck vs Huey Lewis and the News

Tonight was the season premiere of Chuck on NBC.  Chuck is a guy who works for a Best Buy like company in the ‘Nerd Herd’ - think ‘Geek Squad’ and you’ve pretty much got it.  His arch enemy from college sends him an email one night that ends up getting downloaded into his brain giving [...]

Sprint Sucks

So.  I got an iPhone.
My old Sprint phone had been broken for a while.  I really needed something new but, of course, Sprint would give me nothing.  I wasn’t eligible for an upgrade.  And, let’s be honest - even when you ae ‘eiligible for an upgrade’, that really only means they’re going to give you [...]

Debates continued

7:23. My next impression: Senator Obama was doing really well until he reacted to Senator McCains comments on taxes. At that point, he seemed turn stumble a little.
7:26. Senator McCain appears very stiff to me. Like he is uncomfortable, this isn’t anything new though-I think he always looks stiff.
7:30. On direct [...]

Debates

I’m watching the first debate and my very first impression is that McCain isn’t paying attention to Obama when he’s talking. When they split the screen, McCain is looking down or away. That bugs me.
I don’t know why.

New Glasses

The thing about new glasses is that you have to get used to them, which sucks.
In case I didn’t mention, I broke my glasses recently and was forced to get a new pair.  That was a little mini adventure involving 2 for $99 and an eye exam.
I understand, really, I do - the idea that [...]

Caption Fun Friday: The Bathroom Sign

I think this sign pretty much speaks for itself:

The only sign I’ve seen that could possibly top this one was one that read: “Please do not flick boogers onto the door as I am tired of cleaning them up.”

The Best Space Battles Part 9

Star Trek: Battle of Wolf 359

We are the Borg. Existence, as you know it, is over. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Resistance is futile.
The Battle of Wolf 359.  40 Starfleet ships and a large number of Klingon battle cruisers versus a single Borg Cube.  It took place.  We could [...]

The Best Space Battles Part 8

Battlestar Galactica - Again.

You know you kick some ass if you can show up on the list of Best Space Battles ever more than once.
In this case, it’s time to head to New Caprica and kick some ass and what better way to do that then to jump your Battlestar into the atmosphere, go into [...]

The Best Space Battles Part 7

Babylon 5

What’s a solidier to do when faced with illegal orders and a government that isn’t listening?
Well, if you’re John Sheridan, you secede and declare your independence.  When that brings your own people down on you in a civil war, you have no choice but to fight to defend all that you hold dear.
And, just [...]
